Feel, Think, Do multimedia project
Technology
Technically, FEEL|THINK|DO works around the three stage scheme.
The FEEL stage, where the performer sends all kinds of “feelings”, “emotions” and “reactions” through a group of sensors, works as the input. The THINK stage, where all the processing takes place, by a custom built software application. The DO stage, where the FEEL and the THINK materializes, through the use of Audio, Video, Images and Lights, into something physical that can later influence the FEEL stage, creating an interactive loop, being the performer its input and the process results the output.
The Max software programing environment was used as a starting point, because of the hardware that could be controlled by it and its ability to output data in a random way. This allowed to build a performance based on technology capable of translating data produced by a performer through the use of several sensors, and integrating it with several types of hardware, such as a Synthesizer, a CD player, a Video Projector, VCR’s, Image Projectors and Lights.
