Background Noise
Background Noise was a solo project that used the recordings of prepared piano, bowed cymbal and electronics as the background soundtrack for an improvised electric guitar driven by effect pedals and played live with an e-bow.
I played several concerts throughout 1998. Three of those concerts are documented here in the form of short video samples.
The concerts consisted of three separate pieces, Experience #1, Experience #2 and LiveLoop.
Experience #1 and Experience #2 are based on recordings of prepared piano and bowed cymbal. LiveLoop is based in a loop recorded using electronics. I played live electric guitar through effect pedals and electronics with e-bow.
